Hari Om,
The 38th Varshikotsava (Annual Festival) of Prashantha Ganapati was celebrated in our area with great grandeur. The festival spanned three days, from June 8th to June 10th, 2024, and featured a Rathotsava (chariot festival) of Lord Ganapathi throughout the avenues of Prashantha Nagara.
On the first day, the celebrations began with Sankalpa and DhwajaSthamba Sthapana, followed by the Rathotsava. Thousands of devotees participated, immersing themselves in the divine bhajans. The festivities were further enlivened by the traditional Dollu Kunitha (a drum and dance performance unique to Karnataka) and Nruthya Bhajans performed by temple volunteers and devotees.
The second day of Rathotsava included the Ramataraka Homa, a felicitation ceremony for generous donors, and a discourse by a special guest. Following this, a Prasada Santharpana (a sumptuous meal) was served to all the citizens of our area. In the evening, we were treated to a Classical and Devotional Music Program by the esteemed Shri Sangeetha Vidyanidhi Dr. Vidyabhushana.
On the third day, the festivities concluded with the Uyyalotsava.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to making this Varshikotsava a grand success.
